About M.I.Y
Sports & Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist | 10+ Years NHS and Private Experience
I'm Charly Djuma, a Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation specialist with a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation and over 10 years of experience across NHS and private healthcare settings.
My training focuses on assessing and supporting people with musculoskeletal injuries, pain, movement difficulties and a range of physical conditions. Over the years, I have worked with people with very different needs and abilities, which has shaped the personalised approach I use today.
I founded M.I.Y Rehab because I believe the same level of focused rehabilitation and support available to athletes should also be accessible to everyday people. Whether your goal is to recover from an injury, improve your mobility, manage ongoing pain or regain confidence following surgery or illness, your rehabilitation should reflect you, not just your condition.
The name Make It Your (M.I.Y) Rehab reflects that philosophy. No two people experience pain, injury or recovery in exactly the same way, so treatment is tailored around your needs, goals, lifestyle and stage of recovery.
My approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation, hands-on treatment and guided exercise, with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and movement. I aim to create a supportive environment where you understand your rehabilitation, feel involved in the process and can build confidence in your movement.
Based in London, I provide one-to-one mobile rehabilitation in clients' homes, with private gym and treatment-room options also available.
The M.I.Y Approach
Treat to heal
We take a whole-person approach to rehabilitation, considering your medical history, lifestyle, physical needs, psychological wellbeing and personal goals. Hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle guidance are combined to support recovery, improve movement and help you feel more confident throughout your rehabilitation journey.
Control Your Pain
Pain can affect how you move, think and feel, particularly when it has persisted for a long time or followed an injury. Our approach considers both the physical and psychological aspects of pain, helping you understand your symptoms, reduce discomfort and rebuild confidence in movement. Treatment is adapted as you progress, supporting your return to everyday activities, exercise or sport.
Tailored to you
Your rehabilitation should reflect you. We take time to understand how your condition affects your everyday life, what matters to you and what you want to achieve. Your treatment and rehabilitation programme is then built around your individual needs, abilities and goals, and adapted as you progress through recovery.
